DC 2026
Our recent lobbying trip to DC was a well-orchestrated event. Our “ Meet & Greet “at Hamilton’s produced 3 Representatives ( Dan Goldman CD10, Andrew Garbarino CD2,and Laura Gillen CD4) and a few Legislative aides….Our annual meeting with both Senators at the Capitol is always a highlight, and this year didn’t disappoint..
..Senator Gillibrand will introduce the Federal Retirement Fairness Act in the Senate,is cosponsoring S.Res 147, and was co-author of the Protect Our Letter Carriers Act. Leader Schumer is cosponsoring S.147 and S.463 (even though he is Minority Leader)and fully supports our additional legislation ….,LCCL meetings at various House settings were well received. Legislation briefing by Director of Legislation and Political Affairs Paul Swartz, Assistant to the President on Legislation and Political Affairs John Beaumont,NALC lobbyists Frank McCarthy, and Jose Cebellos was informative and timely, and the Rap Session chaired by President Renfroe was well received.
